Week of 2022-09-11: Truckin by the Grateful Dead

I went on a dead kick this week and change. I had
never really sat down and given one of their albums
an honest listen, so I put on Europe 72' (50th
anniversary) while plugging away at some code and
it was ... just what I needed this week.

There's something calming about the dead. I grew up
listening to my dad play them on guitar. My mom
isn't a fan, so it was never played around the house,
but songs like Althea or Cumberland Blues just bring
back memories of hearing the opening chords at 1/2
speed on loop while he learned to solo over them.

Beyond the sentimental value, the lyrics hit home
at times. I'm going through some tough times at
work and Truckin's chorus (?) got me through the
week:

What a long strange trip into startup world, indeed!
