From 8a3a57558e4bc0dc8aa31690acdecacd7c750581 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Alex Karle Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2019 22:29:19 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] [cleanup] move all top level dotfiles to subdirs Previously, I would have a directory for tools with multiple dotfiles (such as bash) and would just house the dotfiles that had a 1-1 ratio of tool-dotfile (i.e. tmux.conf) in the root of this repo. I decided to move to a 1-1 on tool-subdir, even if there is only one file. This allows symlinking that whole directory to ~/.config should it be that style of dotfile and it allows for a cleaner repo overall (files on the top are not dotfiles, distinguishing between things like the Dockerfile, etc). I may also start adding notes on tools in README's for the respective subdir. We shall see. I also moved neovim->nvim such that the binary name is the name of the subdir. --- alacritty.yml | 449 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- alacritty/alacritty.yml | 449 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ bash/inputrc | 19 +++++++++++++++++++ bin/link.sh | 14 ++++++-------- gdb/gdbinit | 4 ++++ gdbinit | 4 ---- git/global_gitignore | 15 +++++++++++++++ global_gitignore | 15 --------------- inputrc | 19 ------------------- neovim/init.vim | 14 -------------- nvim/init.vim | 14 ++++++++++++++ screen/screenrc | 27 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ screenrc | 27 --------------------------- tmux.conf | 68 -------------------------------------------------------------------- tmux/tmux.conf | 68 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 15 files changed, 602 insertions(+), 604 deletions(-) delete mode 100644 alacritty.yml create mode 100644 alacritty/alacritty.yml create mode 100644 bash/inputrc create mode 100644 gdb/gdbinit delete mode 100644 gdbinit create mode 100644 git/global_gitignore delete mode 100644 global_gitignore delete mode 100644 inputrc delete mode 100644 neovim/init.vim create mode 100644 nvim/init.vim create mode 100644 screen/screenrc delete mode 100644 screenrc delete mode 100644 tmux.conf create mode 100644 tmux/tmux.conf diff --git a/alacritty.yml b/alacritty.yml deleted file mode 100644 index 47f88a1..0000000 --- a/alacritty.yml +++ /dev/null @@ -1,449 +0,0 @@ -# Configuration for Alacritty, the GPU enhanced terminal emulator. - -# Any items in the `env` entry below will be added as -# environment variables.
